AV71 and SpaceIoT today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at UMEX

UAV71 and SpaceIoT today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at UMEX, establishing a strategic collaboration to accelerate the UAE’s low altitude economy through space-enabled UAV capabilities. The MoU sets a clear framework for both parties to jointly develop and commercialize solutions that combine UAV71’s operational expertise in FPV systems, drone services, and applied autonomy with SpaceIoT’s satellite-based IoT connectivity and communications infrastructure.

Through this partnership, UAV71 and SpaceIoT will prioritize high-value use cases including resilient command and control, real-time telemetry, secure mission data routing, and extended-range operations, supporting reliable performance in remote and complex environments. The MoU also covers joint technical integration, proof of capability demonstrations, and coordinated go to market efforts to deliver scalable services for government and enterprise stakeholders.

“UMEX is the right platform to formalize partnerships that move from intent to delivery,” said Mansoor Al Remeithi, CEO of UAV71. “By combining UAV operations with space-based IoT connectivity, we can raise mission assurance, strengthen situational awareness, and enable a more scalable low altitude economy.” Daniel Lee,CEO of SpaceIoT added: “This MoU aligns two complementary capabilities, advanced UAV deployment and resilient space connectivity, and positions us to deliver practical solutions with measurable operational impact.”
